To fulfill our mission, Ivy Academy will honor the five core values by which we operate:

  2. Resilience - empower students to overcome challenges with perseverance and a positive attitude, teaching them to view setbacks as opportunities for growth and learning

Strategic Priorities

  • To ensure academic excellence within Ivy Academy, we plan to prioritize a rigorous curriculum

    • Enhance Student Achievement: An Ivy Academy education will improve overall academic performance, ensuring higher test scores, retention in graduation rates, and ensuring that all students are ready for high school and beyond.

    • Strengthen Curriculum and Instruction: Ensure the curriculum is rigorous, relevant, and aligned with high standards, offering top of the line instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students and a rapidly growing technological world. 

    • Support Student Well-Being: Address both academic and social-emotional needs, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes student engagement, mental health, and overall success.

  • We intend to prioritize engaging the Ivy Academy school community to better understand the wants and needs of those whom we serve to achieve our vision. This will be accomplished through the following:

    • Students: Parent-Teacher meetings to provide a space for students to share their thoughts on lessons and be actively involved in the planning process 

    • Teachers: Monthly meetings to provide teachers with opportunities for professional development (new teaching methods, pedagogy research, and changes in curriculum). Additionally, this will serve as a space to address challenges for staff members that can optimize the experience of students at Ivy Academy

    • Parents: Enlisting support from parents to collaborate with the Ivy Academy board members and teachers to foster a supportive learning environment through Parent-Teacher Association meetings and Family Engagement Workshops

  • Our long-term goal at Ivy Academy is to instill positive school spirit by fostering joy and the drive for creating meaningful impact. To do this, we will incorporate the following key programs:

    • Achievements & Accomplishments: We will regularly acknowledge students' academic, social, and personal accomplishments. This will be done through awards, shout-outs, or class celebrations, which boost self-esteem and inspire a love for learning.

    • School events: We will host school events to engage students, foster a sense of community, and promote learning in fun and meaningful ways. This will take shape in the form of clubs, field trips, performances, spirit days, science fairs, sports day, cultural celebrations among others.

    • Fundraising & Volunteering: We will involve students in a school-wide community service project to help them understand the meaningful impact they can have on others through fundraising to secure funds for the cause and volunteering to execute the project. These experiences are essential for building emotional resilience.
